People Philosophy:
1.    Serve the client through the design process by open communication, and by carefully listening and learning about clients and their goals.
2.    Serve the client through the design itself by designing quality homes that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and reflective of our client's lifestyle.

Design Philosophy:
I have had the privilege of working in residential architecture since 1991, and am quite content to continue in this chosen field.  I am continually excited to help people with their dream homes, as well as remodeling projects and additions.  I put my heart into each project because it is meaningful to me, and I care deeply about what I do.

I seek to design homes that respond to how our clients live.  I contemplate how each room will be used, and how our clients will transition between them.  I think about how furniture will best work in the space.  Our clients have ideas on what areas should embrace social interaction and what areas should favor privacy.  They also have a feel for what areas they want to be more generous and open versus other areas they want to be more sheltered and cozy.

I also value homes that respond to their environment and merge well with their site.  I consider how the house should be situated to take the best advantage of natural daylight and capture the most prominent views.  Obviously, I want to preserve as many trees as possible and minimize site impact.  I seek to let the specific site itself help to partially determine the design versus forcing a preconceived design to fit a particular site.

Each project is unique and comes with its own set of challenges.  It is a rewarding experience for me and my clients to see their dreams turn into reality.  Ultimately, I want to give our clients homes that not only meet their functional needs, but also enrich their lives and lift their spirits.
